LUZIA is Cirque du Soleil's love letter to Mexico, and through August 30, 2026 it's playing under the Big Top at 2150 Lake Shore Blvd W, right on the Etobicoke waterfront. If you've been meaning to go, this is your reminder that the clock is running. The show opened June 18 for its tenth anniversary tour stop, and when the big top comes down at the end of August, it's gone.

Every Cirque show has jaw dropping acrobatics. LUZIA has rain. It's the first Cirque touring production to work water into the acts under a big top, and the effect is something else, performers moving through curtains of falling water with the whole tent holding its breath. The show runs about two hours plus a 25 minute intermission, with matinees through the run. Tickets and dates are on the Cirque du Soleil site.
The big top sits on the former Mr. Christie bakery lands at Park Lawn and Lake Shore, the last big undeveloped parcel in Humber Bay Shores. The site is slated to become one of the largest redevelopments in Etobicoke, a story we break down in our Mr. Christie site post, with a proposed Park Lawn GO station attached, and while the approvals grind along, the vacant land makes a perfect landlord for a circus. It's a rare case where a delayed development is the neighbourhood's gain, at least for a summer.
You're a short walk from Humber Bay Park and the arch bridge, so go early and take the waterfront path before the show. Mimico's restaurants and bakeries are minutes away, and there's a farmers market on Saturdays if you're going to a weekend matinee. Show traffic around Park Lawn and Lake Shore gets thick before curtain, so leaving the car at home or arriving early are both good plans.

If an evening at the big top has you eyeing the towers of Humber Bay Shores and wondering what it would be like to live steps from the lake, that's a conversation we love. We work this pocket constantly and can tell you which buildings we'd shortlist and why.
