Why We Love 1830 Bloor Street West Unit 716

Rachel Currey April 16, 2026

There are plenty of reasons we loved Unit 716 at 1830 Bloor Street West, the High Park Residences, but here are the five features that stood out most. Even if this particular unit has found its person by the time you read this, the building and the location make everything below worth knowing for anyone hunting near High Park.

Hunting for a smart small condo of your own? Browse what's available right now.

1. The sleek kitchen

In a condo under 500 square feet, the kitchen is often an afterthought. Not here. The 466 square foot layout runs a linear, built-in kitchen that reads ultra high end: two-toned cabinetry with darker lowers for grounding and lighter uppers to keep things airy, integrated appliances that tuck the dishwasher and hood fan behind panels, and a mirrored backsplash that doubles the visual space while bouncing light in from the sunny south balcony.

2. The layout: a masterclass in 466 square feet

Unit 716 wastes nothing on hallways or awkward corners. The open concept area runs roughly 19.3 by 9.7 feet, with a partition that lets daylight reach the bedroom by day and gives real acoustic and visual privacy at night. The bedroom closet comes with quality mirrored doors, and, rare at this size, the unit includes an owned storage locker for the seasonal gear that otherwise eats a small condo alive.

3. The view: a front row seat to High Park

This is the namesake feature. Facing south, the gold standard in this building, you sit at eye level with the treetops of Toronto's largest urban park. Every April, the famous cherry blossoms bloom right across the street, and residents watch them from the living room while everyone else fights the crowds below.

4. The location: transit-oriented living

Sitting between High Park and Keele stations, roughly 300 metres from the subway, the commute is essentially weather-proof: about 33 minutes downtown on the Bloor-Danforth line, or 16 by car. And the address stands at the crossroads of three of the west end's best worlds: the village charm of Bloor West Village, the industrial-chic of The Junction, and the leafy calm of High Park North.

5. The amenities: the Parkside Club

The building offers over 18,000 square feet of amenity space across three floors, essentially a private club membership included with the keys. A double-height rock climbing wall, weight studios and a yoga room for the active side; a rooftop terrace with barbecues and fire pits, saunas, a theatre room and resident gardening plots for everything else.

The bottom line

At the time of writing in April 2026, Unit 716 was offered for lease at $2,350 per month. Listings move, but buildings don't: if High Park Residences sounds like your speed, units like this one come up regularly, and we hear about them early.
